The Technical Committee of TC 164 “Artificial Intelligence” created on the basis of the RVC, prepared and submitted for public discussion the first edition of the Standard — “Information Technologies. Big Data. Overview and Vocabulary”. The National Center for Digital Economy of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Institute of the Information Society developed the draft standard.
According to the results of the competitive selection of leading research centers (LRC) in the framework of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, which was carried out by the order of the Ministry of Communications of Russia with expert analytical support of RVC, ITMO University received grant support from RVC in the amount of 300 million roubles.
The acceptance of applications for participation in the ChelPipe corporate accelerator has completed. During the period from January 15 to March 31, the program received more than 300 proposals from Russian and international start-ups. Experts of ChelPipe Group and corporate accelerator GenerationS by RVC has already begun evaluating applications.
The export revenue of portfolio companies of funds with the RVC capital participation in 2019 amounted to 96.6 million US dollars, up 9% from 88.4 million US dollars in 2018. Products are most in-demand in the markets of Japan, the USA, South Korea, China, and the UK.
RVC presents an annual rating of venture capital investors activity that identifies key players and significant trends in the Russian venture capital industry. The rating considers three types of investors: venture capital funds, business angels, and corporations.
In the NTI Competence Center based on Moscow State University in the direction of "Technologies for storing and analyzing big data", together with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Problems of the Federal Information Center "Informatics and Management" of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Systems Analysis Technologies, LLC, a text analytics platform based on intelligent text collection and processing systems was developed in Russian and English languages.
The Far East High Technology Fund (DFVT), created by RVC, RUSNANO and the Far East and the Arctic Development Fund, has invested 200 million roubles in the largest producer of service robots in Europe, the Russian company Promobot.
At the NTI Competence Center based on “Technologies for Storing and Analyzing Big Data” of the Moscow State University has been developed  a software project that makes it possible to carry out the automated analysis of the data of X-ray images, mammograms, and cardiograms based on artificial intelligence with an accuracy of 93%.
The HydroMarinn Company carried out the first export supply of equipment for the study of the seabed, which was developed with the financial support of the National Technology Initiative.
In 2020, the first versions of national standards in the field of artificial intelligence in healthcare will be developed in Russia. The development will be coordinated by the Technical Committee for Standardisation “Artificial Intelligence” (TC 164), created based on the RVC.
