The central topic of the Forum will be the formation of a state technological policy at the turn of the 2020s and cooperation to achieve Russia's leadership in global markets. The Forum was organized by RVC and the NTI Platform with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
In the new academic year, Russian schools will conduct a class of the National Technology Initiative. Any teacher of technical and natural science subjects will be able to receive ready-made assignments for the NTI Class and tell school students about the latest technologies of the future.
The venture capital market, which forms the basis of the venture capital ecosystem, in the first half of 2019 showed an increase of 161% up to $248.1 million compared to the first half of 2018, when its volume was $94.9 million. At the same time, 129 deals were completed, which is 48% more than a year earlier (87 deals). The average deal size in the first half of 2019 increased to $3.1 million. Its participants — Russian high-tech companies boasting high leadership potential — will gain an opportunity to create joint projects with Severstal as well as pilot their developments on its industrial sites.
The Interdepartmental Working Group (IWG) for the implementation of the National Technology Initiative approved the support for new projects in the markets of Neuronet, Energy, and the Circle movement.
Airbus Aircraft Corporation will take part in the examination of Russian fast-growing technology companies in the TechUspekh rating. The winners of the rating will be able to launch joint projects with the corporation and will receive assistance in entering foreign markets.
The competence centre of the NTI — Technologies for Wireless Communications and the Internet of Things — in Skoltech, with the participation of the Technical Committee — Cyber-Physical Systems, has developed a draft preliminary national standard (PNS); the Protocol for wireless data transmission for high-capacity networks based on ultra-narrowband radio signal modulation (OpenUNB, Open Ultra-Narrowband).
