More than 50 Russian and international start-up teams presented innovative solutions for the pipe industry at the online boot camp. The ChelPipe Group experts and GenerationS have selected fourteen projects that will go through the industrial acceleration stage.
The winners were twelve Russian and two international projects, whose proposals were recognized by the accelerator experts as the most demanded and promising for the ChelPipe Group.Teams from Moscow, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, and Magnitogorsk, Great Britain, and Spain will pass the industrial acceleration stage. The main directions of the selected technological developments: innovative products that replace traditional steel pipes and their coatings, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly technologies for the pipe industry and machine vision systems.
The automated acceleration program, under which start-ups will conduct pilots and R&D of their solutions at the ChelPipe Group sites, will last until autumn. Projects that complete the program will continue to work at the company's high-tech production facilities on an ongoing basis. It is planned to sum up the results in September.
Several additional projects may join the program, whose participation will be determined shortly by the accelerator experts. The intensive work of start-ups with ChelPipe Group will last until mid-September. It will end with a demo day, where teams will be determined, who will have the opportunity to conclude long-term cooperation agreements with the company.
GenerationS — a Corporate Innovation Development Platform. It is the largest corporate accelerator in Russia and the CIS, organized by RVC in 2013. GenerationS implements comprehensive organizational development programs: intercorporate — on the development of internal entrepreneurship; acceleration — for scouting and acceleration of external projects; international — to train employees in the methods of building and conducting innovations based on corporations — global leaders.
Today, the accelerator infrastructure includes more than 16 thousand start-ups from 30 countries, 400 corporate, and ecosystem partners. According to the RBC magazine, in 2017, GenerationS was awarded the title of the largest accelerator in Russia. In 2018, GenerationS became the first Russian accelerator accredited by the Global Accelerator Network (GAN), organized by TechStars, and the best corporate accelerator in Europe, according to Corporate Start-up Summit.
