Eight Start-ups to Launch Pilot Projects at PepsiCo

TechLab by PepsiCo, a laboratory aimed at exploring, testing, and introducing new technologies into the business of PepsiCo and GenerationS, a platform for developing corporate acceleration from RVC, announced a search for start-ups representing solutions based on big data technologies in FMCG.

The projects demonstrated at the in-person selection presented their technological solutions to the experts PepsiCo and GenerationS. Personal offers, data enrichment, behavioural targeting, segmentation, as well as other services and products in the field of Big Data or FMCG.

Applications for participation in the program were submitted by more than 90 start-ups from Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other countries. Of these, 19 start-ups were able to present their solutions to PepsiCo experts at a full-time demo day.

Based on the results of the in-person selection, PepsiCo experts selected eight projects for cooperation:

  • First data is a service that allows you to find out about offline sales after advertising campaigns on the Internet.
  • Samplomat is a solution for the automated distribution of test samples based on technologies of new customer experience and gamification.
  • EPICA — tools for segmenting the audience of online stores, allowing you to define a marketing approach to communication-based on the qualities of the client (gender, age, geography).
  • Konnektu is a CDP platform that allows you to collect all available customer data (CRM, ECOM, WEB sites, DMP, DSP platforms) to create a single consumer profile.
  • Raspberry RU — technologies for the intellectual analysis of consumer behaviour, which allows to formulate recommendations on the operational improvement of business processes for managing the assortment, goods distribution, supply chain, product quality, finances and personnel.
  • WeAR is a solution for using augmented reality on product packaging, and the development of Instagram filters and masks for social media exposure.
  • RetailXR is a comprehensive platform based on AR-technologies for retail.
  • Yoloco — AI SaaS service for the most effective optimisation of advertising campaigns through influencers in social networks.

The start-ups that we met on demo day impressed with their decisions, and the high level of their preparation for the presentation left a good impression. We were looking for solutions that can find business customers in our company, and are very glad that we found so many fresh ideas. We hope that the most successful projects after the pilot launches in Russia will be able to scale to other markets where PepsiCo is present.
