The GenerationS accelerator — the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe organized by RVC has summarized the internal examination of the applications. From more than 300 applicants, the GenerationS industrial partners chose 120 of the strongest start-ups who will participate in the eight corporate accelerators. Project teams will receive a wide range of business opportunities: personal mentors, expert support, foreign training, assistance in attracting investment and project preparation to enter the market. And most importantly — access to the resources of major Russian corporations.
The on-site assessment of the projects took place on November 18-21 in the framework of the GenerationS Bootcamp Intensive, which was held at the site of the largest co-working in Russia — Fiztechpark. The operator of the event was the company GVA LaunchGurus. During three days, more than 300 technology entrepreneurs from across the country were improving their management and presentation skills at master classes, seminars and trainings. On the final day of Bootcamp, the teams presented their projects to experts, investors and corporate partners. In the end, 120 best start-ups have been determined in eight industry areas: AgroBioTech&Food (10), Сreative Industries (20), Finance&Banking Technologies (20), LifeScience (10), Mining&Metals (17), Power&Еnergy (13), SmartCity (13), TechNet (17). The selection and assessment of projects were carried out in the interests of the partner GenerationS corporations, among which in 2016 more than 20 major Russian companies were included such as: Moscow Exchange, Raiffeisenbank, GC Morton and Russian technical company, QIWI, Northern Biopharmaceutical Cluster, Krastsvetmet JSC, ALROSA, GC EFKO, Sher Oston, Irkutsk Electric Grid Company JSC, R&D Saturn PJSC. Now, the teams, which have passed the selection of Bootcamp, will become participants of corporate accelerators, which will be held from November 2016 to February 2017 on the basis of partner corporations. The finalists will be able to modify their product in constant interaction with a potential customer and to test the business model and prepare the project for its successful entering the market. The final stage will be the corporate accelerator Demo Day, in which the projects will be presented to the Investment Committee and the Scientific and Technical Council of the corporation partner.
The names of the winning teams will be announced at the GenerationS super-final in March 2017. The GenerationS-2016 prize fund will amount to 15 million rubles. The total value of prizes from partners will exceed 100 million rubles.
The official partners of the GenerationS Bootcamp were major international technology companies. IBM provided access to the teams in its cloud IBM Bluemix platform, which is used around the world to build and deploy applications. The platform provides developers with more than 150 ready-made services. They will help start-ups process data generated by mobile and social networks, as well as user devices and sensors.
Microsoft's Experts told the Bootcamp participants about the possible formats of cooperation technological entrepreneurs with corporation. "The participants of the GenerationS accelerators, GVA, FRII and Skolkovo can apply for mentoring support and technological expertise of our company, as well as for a grant up to $ 120 thousand Cloud Microsoft Azure resources. If you use our cloud, it is in our best interest so that you can move on and open up new markets", said Konstantin Goldstein, Microsoft technical evangelist.

Today, the GenerationS partner network includes more than 250 government agencies and commercial companies willing to provide new-born entrepreneurs with financial and expert support. The Foundation for the promotion of innovation, the GenerationS development partner will allocate grants to the best projects within the EGGHEAD and START programs. The Investment Partner KamaFlow will invest in a promising GenerationS project up to $ 100 thousand. The GenerationS-2016 teams will also be able to win in the special categories of Gars Telecom, Raiffeisen Bank, SAP, and SUEK. Among the GenerationS partners — the Open University Skolkovo, AMEDIA, Publicis Communications Russia, VTB 24, BCS Broker, ALROSA, and Rostelecom.

More than 20 Russian companies, in whose interests the selection and acceleration of start-ups is carried out, become Industrial partners of GenerationS on an annual basis. Because of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive many opportunities for business development and investment promotion, and to get access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners. In 2016 alone, 4,237 applications from 30 countries were submitted to participate in GenerationS. The GenerationS-2016 prize fund will amount to 15 million rubles.
