On September 15, the first practical conference "Open!" organized by RVC will be held at NITU MISiS in Moscow. Within the framework of the meeting, the Russian and foreign experts will discuss perspective of development of the active community about the activity of science, technology, and natural museums and centers for promotion of science.
Representatives of the Russian and foreign museums, centers for promotion of science, museum and education specialists, specialist for territorial development and cultural design, representatives of the authorities and city communities will participate in the conference.
The invited experts will speak at the conference: Sabina Barcucci — Creative Manager of MUSE, Italy-Trento, Svenja Gaube — Head of the Visitors Department of the German Museum of Technology, Germany-Berlin, Monika Borecka — Family Activity Coordinator at Family Workshop museum (Workshops for 5-8 year old children and their parents), Copernicus Science Centre, Poland-Warsaw. The experts will discuss perspectives for development of the museums of future and consider personal cases of the participants.
Within the framework of the conference, the participants will be able to discuss professional issues of museum industry. All practical work of the conference participants will serve as a base for further development of the project and promotion activities of the museums in Russia. The participants of this exact first practical conference "Open!" will form the understanding of what the museum should be in XXI century, main tendencies and directions on the museum industry.
The important part of the conference will be analysis and design of the role of specialized museums as one of the instruments for territorial development through development of human capital and involvement of local communities (museum as a base venue for the makers movement, interaction with the science promoters, etc.).
During the work, discussion of support measures for development of specialized museums by strengthening of horizontal relationships, development of museum enthusiasts’ community and through implementation of the special educational and other development programs is expected.
