On April 21-22, 2016 the Innovation Ecosystem: Universities and Scientific Centers Forum will be held in Moscow; it is organized by RVC in partnership with Lomonosovskiy Moscow State University, Innopractice Company and NUST MIS&S. The key theme of the forum will be development of innovation ecosystems in the universities and scientific organizations, establishment of the university 3.0, and discussion of their participation in the National Technology Initiative.
For the last decades, role of universities and scientific organizations in the world have changed. Common functions (educational and scientific) are amplified with the entrepreneur function. Such universities and scientific organizations (the so called Universities 3.0) become the key subjects of the national and regional innovation ecosystems as well as leaders and centers of creation of new technological industries making significant contribution to the global competitive ability of the country. A university is not just a smith's shop of personnel and an executive of R&D, but also a generator, coordinator and author of new technological innovations on the global market.
According to the international educational experts' community, only Universities 3.0 will have competitive ability in the future because they have better development opportunities.
Purposes and aims of the forum are to ensure development of the innovation ecosystem at universities and research organizations in the Russian Federation as well as to develop interaction competences of all ecosystem players. This event is held for the second year and is a logic continuance of the 2nd annual Innovation Ecosystem forum organized by RVC OJSC traditionally held in Krasnaya Polyana (Sochi).
16 practical panel discussions and 8 master classes by representatives of top 100 universities of the world including Oxford, National Singapore University, Eindhoven University of Technology and California University are included in the program. The work at the venue will be divided by the special tracks: Services, Industry, Management, National Technology Initiative, Investments, Technology Transfer, Territory and External Stakeholders.
On April 21, General Director of RVC Igor Agamirzyan will be a moderator of the plenary meeting «Universities and scientific organizations as innovation development drivers of the country». It is expected that the Deputy Vice-President of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Dvorkovich, Minister of Education and Science Dmitriy Livanov, Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Abyzov, RAS president Vladimir Fortov, Deputy General Director — RVC Program Executive Officer Evgeniy Kuznetsov will participate in the discussion.

On April 22, Deputy General Director — RVC Program Executive Officer Evgeny Kuznetsov will be a moderator of the plenary meeting "Creation of universities 3.0 in Russia: steps, opportunities and obstacles" Presidential advisor Andrey Fursenko, MSU rector Viktor Sdovnichiy, ITMO University rector Vladimir Vasiliev, TSU rector Eduard Galazhinskiy, dean of the MSU Faculty of Economy Aleksandr Auzan and an entrepreneur and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan will be invited as speakers.

Representatives of the federal and local authorities, leading Russian and international universities and research organizations, private and public corporations, investors, directors of small innovation companies, clusters, technology platforms, engineering centers and technoparks. The events will be held at MIS&S and MSU.

The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion rubles. RVC's capital is owned in full by the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for State Property Management of the Russian Federation (Rosimushestvo). Total number of funds set up by RVC OJSC is 22, their total size is 33.2 billion rubles. RVC OJSC share is 20.3 billion rubles. RVC funds invested into 179 innovation companies. The total amount of invested funds is 17.5 billion rubles. From 2015, RVC is defined as the NTI project office — a program of measures aimed at development of the absolutely new markets and creation of conditions for global technology leadership of Russia by 2035.
