"We know that there are various well developed technologies in Russia, Korea also has good achievements in this area. Therefore, our joint efforts in this direction could be more effective. Korean companies can invest not only money, but also the technologies. This will help companies in Russia enter international markets," — he said.
Jin-Taek Park said that at present Korean investments portfolio requires diversification.
"We have little space for investments in Korea. As for our nearest neighbour — China — we made a lot of investment in the economy of this country," he said, noting that the Russian innovation sector is a serious interest concern for the Korean venture investors.
Jin-Taek Park mentioned that the original purpose of the visit of the Korean delegation to Russia was only getting acquainted with the situation at the market. However, even the first contacts with the representatives of the Russian government and investors appeared to be very effective and will hopefully provide for effective cooperation with Russia.
"As far as I can see, the Russian government and investors have a strong interest to cooperate with Korea. We want to explore the possibilities of investment in your country, as well as launch a cooperation in creating investment funds," — added Head of Korean Association of Venture Investors.
