From October 24 till October 27 RVC delegation together with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Education of Russia, Skolkovo Foundation and members of academic and business communities of Russia took part in the Russian week in China, which included the Chinese-Russian Conference "Innovations - the key to cooperation" and VII Pujiang International Innovation Forum.
The Conference was held on the eve of the Innovation Forum and was jointly organized by the RVC, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Education. The event aroused wide interest among officials, representatives of development institutions, business people and scientists from both countries. During the Conference, more than 120 Russian and Chinese representatives discussed joint participation in the development of innovative economy, discussed the issues of creation of joint innovative productions, protection of intellectual property, technology transfer mechanisms between the states, and outlined the main vectors of cooperation at inter-university level and regional scientific and technical cooperation.
Igor Agamirzyan, who led the RVC delegation, noted the high potential for development of cooperation between Russia and China in the field of innovations. The head of Development Institute expressed confidence that, by cooperating with China and relying on global experience and high level of industrial development of this country, Russia has every chance for creation of competitive innovative product. Participation in the International Conference and Shanghai Innovation Forum was for the RVC one of the most important steps for continuation of the Chinese-Russian cooperation, building of partnership with key representatives of venture and innovation market in China, as well as gaining experience of joint project management in this country. China has already shown interest in the innovative solutions of such Russian companies and universities as "Prognoz", "Prometey", UrFU.
In addition, interest in the conference and the discussed issues was shown by leading Chinese companies, foundations and state institutions: Alibaba International Co, Shanghai Pudong Software Park Co, Shanghai Co-Way Company, Zhongguancun Private Equity & Venture Capital Association , Shanghai City Hall Investment Agency, China Mobile Communications Association, Cybernaut (China) Venture Capital Management, Association for Promotion International Cooperation of Private Enterprises in Zhejiang Province.
The central event of the Chinese-Russian week was the Pujiang International Innovation Forum that took place on October 25-26. The event, in its turn, is a continuation of the Chinese-Russian dialogue initiated at the "Open Innovations" Forum in Moscow. Russia was present at the Chinese forum in the status of the country – the main guest of honour.
Pujiang 2014 Innovation Forum was accompanied by a small exhibition of Russian innovative technologies. Forty six Russian organizations-participants of the Forum took part in the exhibition. The exhibition presented samples of products of 10 portfolio and partner companies RVC Alphaopen, RMT, IBRIS, Risilika, Ekokat, Optiz-monitoring, Nanoderm, Mobixchip, PKHK, CDNVideo.
Additionally, within the framework of the business program, Russian delegation visited major technology centres of Shanghai, including the National Engineering Research Centre for Nanotechnology, Zhenjiang Science and Technology Park in the Free Trade Zone, Shanghai High-Tech and Business Incubator "QIAO LAB", individual scientific industrial enterprises.
On the last day of the Forum, RVC together with Skolkovo Innovation Centre held a Chinese-Russian round table "Technology parks and areas of innovation development: new dimension of international cooperation" with participation of heads of the leading technology parks in Russia, China and CIS countries.
