One of the most important tasks for the development of the national economy of the Russian Federation is the increase of the economic effect from investment in sciences and education, specifically, growth from commercialization of scientific technologies and developments by universities.

How do you build an efficient model of innovative infrastructure based on a university and provide for the conditions to transition to the new technological conditions and systems for both the universities and the country as a whole? Compliance with which conditions will enable the innovative infrastructure to ensure continuity of scientific and manufacturing chain – from idea generation to transfer of ideas into technology and new products and marketing the same? How do we foster relations between all the stakeholders within the framework of 4I innovative ecosystem which unifies researchers, innovators, investors, and industry? These are the sort of questions to be addressed by the participants of II Congress: Science Plus Business.”

“Innovation Practice: Science Plus Business” Congress (hereinafter – the Congress) is aimed to become the logical next step of 2014 Congress. The agenda items will include the discussion and solving practical issues of operating innovative ecosystems.

The event hosted some senior executives of the Russian corporations, government authorities, universities and colleges, R&D centers, growth and development funds, investment companies; representatives of high tech Russian companies and enterprises engaged in energy, electronics, oil and gas production and processing, medicine, new materials, aerospace research, biophysics, biomedicine, etc.

The speakers at the Congress’s plenary session will include Alexandr Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board, General Director of OJSC Gazprom Neft, Sergey Kirienko, General Director of the State-owned company Rosatom, Sergey Kalugin, President of OJSC Rostelecom, Igor Komarov, General Director of the State-owned company ROSKOSMOS, Boris Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Inter RAO, Dmitry Konov, Chairman of the Management Board, General Director of SIBUR LLC, Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Victor Sadovnichiy, President of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician, Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the City of Moscow, Economic Policy and Land- and Property Issues, Petr Gladkov, General Director, member of the Board of Directors of JSC Russian Export Center, Andrey Fursenko, Assistant to President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Scientific Fund, and other speakers. Kirill Dmitriev, General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), will be the moderator at the plenary session of the Congress.

The various events of the Congress are its plenary and industry-specific sessions, a foresight session, and practical sessions, as well as case studies – will enable the participants to look more widely at the issues of efficient operation of the innovative infrastructure, as well as to submit practical tools for efficient interaction of researchers, industry, investors, and innovators via intensive exchange of opinions, ideas, skills and experience in order to stimulate generation of new and globally competitive technologies, their commercialization, and implementation in industrial applications.

During the Congress there will be an expo with projects in Information technologies, biomedical technologies, bio-nanosystems and pharmaceuticals, technologies for the production and industrial use of oil and gas raw materials, technologies for rational use of natural resources, aerospace research, nanotechnologies, and new materials, technologies for special applications and industrial engineering, technologies for energy efficiency, and efficient energy storage.

Thus, II Congress “Innovative Practice: Sciences Plus Business” continues the trend for annual meetings of the innovative process stakeholders in order to develop joint approaches to solving the issues of innovative ecosystem, forging professional standards for working and finding new trends and ideas, as well as growth points for the national economy.
