On October 30, 2015, at the Open Innovation Forum, Igor Agamirzyan, RVC CEO, and Eduard Galazhinsky, rector of Tomsk State University, signed a cooperation agreement.
The Agreement objective is to support high-tech entrepreneurship, create an efficient service infrastructure for innovation activities members, establish transparent mechanisms of financial support for innovative businesses, improve competencies of the innovative entrepreneurs.
The main areas of cooperation will be the projects implemented in education, information and consulting areas, as well as in terms of support for high-tech development with a high growth potential in the Russian and foreign innovation and technology markets.
Several joint educational projects are planned, including organization of internships for the young entrepreneurs in leading innovation companies, professional development, training and retraining of highly qualified personnel.
In the field of information and consultation activities, an expert support will be provided to innovation projects on technologies transfer and intellectual property commercialization, including using the opportunities of venture capital funds with RVC capital.
Moreover, the events aimed at promoting economics in the field of venture capital funding, innovation entrepreneurship and commercialization will be arranged.
RVC OJSC is a state fund of funds, development institution of the Russian Federation, and one of the key tools of the state in creating national innovation system. The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion rubles. RVC's capital is owned in full by the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for State Property Management of the Russian Federation (Rosimushestvo). The total number of funds formed by RVC has reached 22 with the aggregate size of 30.3 billion rubles. The share of RVC is 19.3 billion rubles. The number of innovative companies approved for investment by RVC funds has reached 182. The total amount of invested assets has reached 16.9 billion rubles. Since 2015, RVC OJSC has been defined as a project office for implementation of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) - the long-term strategy of the country's technological development, aimed at formation of new global markets by 2035.
