Kirill Nikitin, CTO of ChelPipe Group
The ChelPipe Group, for the first time, launched a corporate accelerator project, the key stage of which came at a difficult time for the Russian economy. Despite the possible risks, we’ve got a result that doubled our expectations: 300 projects in the funnel, 103 proposals from foreign start-ups, and over 65% of relevant decisions. Already, the company sees projects that can be launched at production facilities, so it will do everything possible to implement the best of them.

Accelerator projects' primary directions have become the new types of products and materials, alternative products to replace traditional steel pipes, and machine vision systems for existing production, energy-efficient and eco-friendly technologies for the pipe industry.

Ekaterina Petrova, Director of GenerationS Corporate Accelerator
Shortly, experts will face a serious job on project appraisal. They will select the most effective solutions for introducing solutions into the ChelPipe Group production cycle. Among the projects that applied for participation in the Accelerator, there are fast Russian start-ups and international developments, ready to enter new markets. We are confident that the advanced technologies presented will make a significant contribution to the development of the metallurgical industry and will receive full demand after completion.

In May 2020, as many as 30 start-ups will present their solutions to the management of the ChelPipe Group, 15 will launch pilots at the company's high-tech facilities. In summer, winners will become known who will be able to enter into agreement on the long-term implementation of their projects.
