Submission of the applications from the students for participation in the National Technology Initiative (NTI) is complete. The winners will get an opportunity to enter Master's degree program at the Skolkovo science and technology university, ITMO University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Innopolis University and Far East Federal University.
2247 students from 105 cities of Russia including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Republic of Bashkortostan, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Amur Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Velikiy Novgorod, Ekaterinburg will participate in NTI Olympiad.
Competition between the students is held in 6 areas. The most popular of them are "Intelligent robotics systems" (40%), "Smart city" and "Applied artificial intelligence" — 13% each. The students will also compete in such areas as "Aerospace systems", "Virtual and augmented reality" and "Wireless communication technologies".
At the selection stage, the participants will perform test task individually. In the final, they will work in teams over the real business projects. For example, in the area of "Aerospace systems", the participants will solve the tasks related to search for the places for settlement on the other planets.VR area students will develop VR applications and augmented application development.
The winners of the student track will be able to select the university to continue education for Master's degree regardless of the current place of education. Besides the free education for Master's degree, the students will get an opportunity to pass through internship in the offices of the partner corporations and take part in the summer project schools.
NTI Olympiad is a unique format of engineering competitions for scholars of 7-11 classes aimed at identification and development of talented children capable of solving complicated cross-disciplinary tasks. NTI Olympiad is held by the NTI Circle Movement, RVC and ISA in partnership with the biggest Russian universities and technological companies from 2015. Olympiad profiles correspond to the NTI industry priorities — programs of the global technological leadership of Russia by 2035.
