RVC held business mission to South Korea to exchange experience and extend cooperation of the two countries in the field of transfer and commercialization of new technologies. Within the trip framework, RVC conducted a number of meetings with the leading South Korean development institutions, universities and research centres.
During business mission, RVC signed a cooperation agreement with the Global Commercialization Center at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). KAIST is the leading science and research university of South Korea, included in top-10 innovation universities of the world according to Thomson Reuters. Global Commercialization Center successfully functions on the university basis; it acts as an intermediate for transfer and promotion of the Korean technologies on the global markets through the regional hubs network.
Under the agreement, RVC plans to use KAIST experience to develop export of the Russian technological companies including within the framework of the NTI export accelerator launched last year. Korean university will also participate in development of the global technological barriers that can be become a base for the Up Great future contests. Besides, RVC and KAIST plan to develop bilateral cooperation between the Korean and Russian research universities and technological companies.
Within the business-mission framework, a meeting of RVC with the representatives of the Ministry of Science, Information and Communication technologies of South Korea. The parties discussed implementation of the projects of the Russian and Korean innovation platform created in 2018 with participation of the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation. The platform is aimed at development of entrepreneurship under Industry 4.0 for the account of joining of the innovation fundamental Russian technologies with the applied information and communication Korean technologies. RVC introduced to Korean partners a development concept Industry 4.0, including the possibilities of the NTI professional Competence Centersand companies participating in the NTI Export Accelerator.
During the trip, they also discussed perspectives of development of the partnership between RVC and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KIAST) and Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI).
RVC cooperates with South Korea in the field of innovation from 2014. RVC partners include the big Korean state universities and corporations. RVC also interacts with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Power Energy of the Republic of Korea, Korean technology venture fund and Russia-Korea Science and Technology Cooperation Center.
