RVC Launches an Export Accelerator for NTI Companies to Enter Asian Markets

RVC, in partnership with PwC, launched the Export Accelerator of the National Technology Initiative (NTI). The program is aimed at developing the export of Russian technology companies that operate in the NTI markets.

The first set of the accelerator is aimed at companies developing promising, globally-oriented products in the field of artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things. Applicants must demonstrate sustainable business development and focus on sales in Asian markets.

All companies that have submitted applications to the accelerator will be able to carry out a detailed assessment of their export potential with the help of specialized Russian and foreign experts; they will receive practical recommendations for finalizing their product and further steps to be made to enter Asian markets.

Based on an expert assessment, the most promising companies will be invited to become members of the NTI Export Accelerator. They will be able to explore existing business opportunities in the selected region, get individual advice from relevant foreign experts, form a pool of potential partners and customers in the target market.

The Accelerator's participants will also be offered a comprehensive set of tools for entering international markets from development institutions that support foreign economic activity.

“RVC is creating a new service in the NTI perimeter aimed at facilitating the international expansion of Russian high-tech companies. The Accelerator's participants will have access to fast and efficient tools for developing strategies to reach the promising Asian markets. We expect that about fifty companies in the AI, IoT and Big data segments will take part in the qualifying stage, from which up to 15 accelerator participants will be selected,” commented Alexander Povalko, the General Director of RVC.

“Around the world, export acceleration programs are an effective tool for preparing companies to enter new markets, establish business contacts and search for new business partners. Our joint program, developed based on the experience of the PwC global network in export acceleration, will help Russian technology companies to efficiently and quickly prepare for entering Asian markets of interest,” said Oleg Malyshev, the partner and the head of transaction support practices in PwC Russia.

The NTI Export Accelerator program starts in November 2018. Accepting of applications from companies will last until September 30, 2018.

The National Technology Initiative (NTI) is a long-term comprehensive program to create conditions for ensuring the leadership of Russian companies in new high-tech markets that will determine the structure of the global economy in the next 15-20 years. The design office of NTI is RVC.
