RVC and Russian Export Center Agree to Assist NTI Companies Participating in Foreign Markets

RVC and the Russian Export Center (REC) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at facilitating exports of high-tech products of companies participating in the National Technology Initiative (NTI) when entering foreign markets. The agreement was signed by the General Director of RVC Alexander Povalko and head of REC Group of Companies Petr Fradkov within the Open Innovations-2017 Forum.

The main areas of cooperation will be development and implementation of joint initiatives to boost exports of high-tech products, development of support tools, as well as consideration of the interests of NTI companies when forming a standpoint of the Russian Federation within the framework of participation in international organizations and associations. Besides, the parties will be able to carry out information and consultation exchange on export support issues, in particular, on the work of authorities and development institutions.

By developing cooperation within the framework of the agreement, RVC will inform NTI companies about the activities of Russian Export Center, provide REC with information about their projects, as well as research of export markets, analytical and marketing information. In addition, RVC will determine among the NTI participants companies whose products and technologies are ready for export deliveries. Upon request from REC, the Institute of Venture Industry Development of the Russian Federation will conduct a survey among the NTI companies to identify difficulties and challenges in the implementation of their export projects.

The Russian Export Center will, in turn, support implementation of export projects of NTI companies, provide consulting support and assist in the preparation of an export contract, passing certain procedures and international adaptation of export goods, and helping in finding partners abroad. Under the agreement, REC will also provide financial assistance to the NTI participants. In addition, the NTI companies will be able to participate in REC's programs to support foreign patenting, exhibition activities and reimbursement for certification costs in foreign markets as well as transportation costs.

RVC and the Russian Export Center also intend to create a joint register of requests to obtain support from the NTI participants and hold training of NTI exporting companies.

"Entry of Russian technology companies and start-ups in promising industries into the global market is an important task set forth in the renewed RVC development strategy, along with the strengthening of international cooperation and technological transfer, and increase in attractiveness of the Russian venture market for foreign investors. The agreement on the support of NTI participants will allow us to use the deep expertise and a wide range of REC instruments to build an effective system of promotion of NTI participants in foreign markets and to increase exports of Russian high-tech products, without duplicating functions, and using the strong competencies of each partner to reach a common goal," commented the General Director of the RVC Alexander Povalko.

"Great attention is paid by the country's leadership to the development of NTI. NTI participating companies are the future champions that must ensure Russia's technological leadership and make a breakthrough into global markets. Undoubtedly, in order to ensure maximum competitive advantages, such companies should use all available tools of state support. In planning its activities, REC will take into account both the specifics of NTI and the existing needs of companies. The agreement signed today marks a systemic interaction on issues of export support between REC and the project office of the National Technology Initiativ, formed on the basis of RVC," underlined the head of REC Group Peter Fradkov.
