VimpelCom PJSC (TM Beeline) and RVC announce the start of a partnership to select projects among the participants of the federal start-up accelerator GenerationS within the specially created Digital Innovations nomination. The winning team will have the opportunity to create joint digital products together with Beeline, including within the framework of the VEON DIGITAL PLATFORM.
To participate in the Digital Innovations nomination, projects in the field of digital technologies are invited such as: E-commerce, geolocation, virtual reality, M2M, Internet bots, advertising and marketing technologies, etc. The largest Russian energy companies are directly involved in the selection, assessment of projects and the acceleration of start-ups participating in GenerationS, based on their needs for innovative developments. The winner in the nomination will be announced during the award ceremony at the Super GenerationS, which will be held in April 2018.
For Beeline, the creation of a special Digital Innovations nomination is a continuation of the implementation of the Make your Mark global program of VimpelCom PJSC. The goal of the program is to search for and select the most promising Russian technology projects for support in the local and global markets, as well as provide start-ups with the opportunity to cooperate with the corporation to solve current business problems. In addition to cooperation with RVC, Beeline is implementing a partnership with the world's largest hackathon AngelHack, and is also one of the organizers of the Eurasia Mobile Challenge — the Russian stage of the world's largest mobile development competition. In 2016, more than 1,000 projects took part in the Eurasian stage, one of which took the second prize in the global final at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona in February 2017. Projects in this area the company considers for itself a part of corporate social responsibility in the field of supporting the development of the digital economy.
The federal start-up — GenerationS 2017 accelerator works in six directions: Increasing the effectiveness of agriculture and solutions in the field of new medicines (Agro & MedTech); New media, fashion, design and entertainment (Creative); Power engineering (Power & Energy); Banking and financial services (FinTech); Metal processing, mining machinery management and raw material quality management (Mining & Metals); The implementation of smart production and systems (TechNet). You can apply for participation in the accelerator before October 31, 2017. In November, the program of the corporate accelerator begins, within the framework of which educational events will be held, which will be developed taking into account the industry specifics. After this, the teams will focus on individual work, the results of which will be presented at the final selection of GenerationS-2017 in April 2018.
