More than 130 teams passed through the development program for early-stage start-ups of the GenerationS accelerator.

In Moscow, the face-to-face stage of the federal development program for early stage start-ups of the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe accelerator GenerationS from RVC. On the venue of the GenerationS Preaccelerator, more than 130 strongest technology teams met; they were selected from 2,700 applications received from the entrepreneurs from all over the country.

During the tree days GenerationS Preaccelerator participants passed through the educational program and worked hardly on their projects in constant contact with tens of mentors and business-experts in order to lead their start-ups to the next development stage. As a result of hard work, the entrepreneurs defended their projects before the representatives of the investment funds and business-angels, mentors and venture market experts, received recommendations related to development from the experts representing big companies.

“Corporations very often don't pay attention to the interesting developments because they consider only mature projects with stable income. Preaccelerator makes big business pay attention to the young teams. For the beginning entrepreneurs, such program is a perfect chance to get to the “radars” of investors and corporate partners and to get assistance from the experiences mentors,” — Gulnara Bikkulova, deputy CEO of RVC and GenerationS ideologist commented.

GenerationS Preaccelerator joined entrepreneurs from financial technologies, power energy, bio-medicine and agriculture. Geography of the projects — more than 40 Russian cities including Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Ufa. Based on the results of education, the teams demonstrated high level of prototypes and deserved positive feedback from the experts. The highest rating was received by the developers of a device designed to ensure communication of the blind and deaf-and-dumb people, wear-resistant coating of tribological units, therapeutic vaccine to cure opiate addiction and a new antipsychotic. The youngest participant of the GenerationS Preaccelerator was 11-year old Evelina Mazitova from Almetjevsk. The school-girl developed an application Rusmig designed to learn Russian language.

50 best start-up teams that showed the highest results in project development passed to the final of the GenerationS Preaccelerator. The participants will continue working with the mentors up to the final that will be held in June 2017 within the framework of Startup Village in Skolkovo.

Foundation for Assistance to Innovations launched a special course for early-stage projects UMNIK-GenS. The team that were successfully qualified will be able to receive a grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.

“Cooperation of the Foundation and RVC covers not only GenerationS, but also NTI. This year, besides UMNIK-GenS, UMNIK-NTI selection will be done: together with the task forces, the Foundation will select up to 350 projects for 7 roadmaps. We have a global task — to support those who, with their ideas that can seem mad today, are able to look into the future, analyse breakthrough technologies and start developing them,” — deputy CEO of the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations Pavel Gudkov emphasized.

The winner team of the GeneratioS Preaccelerator will be candidates for participation in GenerationS corporate accelerators of 2017 cycle. GenerationS-2016 Final will be held on April 25, in Moscow at Stadium Live.
