Project: Business Support Programs at the NTI
More than 150 companies received advice on supporting their end-to-end technological projects from support measures operators. Digital Economy (ANO) and the RF Ministry of Communications organized the consulting centre on October 22 at the Open Innovations Forum.
State support measures for projects on the development of digital technologies are provided for by the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” as part of the implementation of the digital project “Digital Technologies”, namely roadmaps for seven end-to-end technologies: virtual and augmented reality technologies, new production technologies, robotics and sensor components, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, distributed registry systems and wireless technologies. Some operators have already begun accepting applications from applicants for support. The competition results will be announced before the end of 2019.
The representatives of RVC, who are responsible for grants for leading companies and programs of leading research centres, conducted personal consultations for potential recipients of support. The Innovation Promotion Fund answered questions about supporting small enterprises. The Skolkovo Foundation provided consultations for industry projects. Representatives of the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies spoke about supporting regional projects.
The participants of consultations were mainly interested in the criteria for selecting projects among which were commercialization and compliance with the objectives of the roadmaps and the details of the competitive procedures.
In anticipation of the consultations at the Open Innovations, the session “How to make money through end-to-end technologies?” was held, where representatives of support operators spoke. The Innovation Support Fund has announced the possibility of supporting about 100 projects worth 2 billion roubles. RVC announced plans to select seven leading research centres. The Skolkovo Foundation spoke about the details of co-financing: the customer can compensate for the first implementation of the technology up to 50% of costs (250-300 million roubles), while an important feature of the selection of projects is the ability to scale them.
In general, to support projects within the framework of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” from 2020 to 2024, it is planned to direct over 280 billion roubles of budget funds and from 2020 to 2022 — over 150 billion roubles of additional funds.
