ST.PETERSBURG, 24 May. /TASS/. During 2018-2020, Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and Russian Venture Company (RVC) will be engaged in development and implementation of the new educational programs in the field of technological entrepreneurship. The partners executed the relevant agreement at XXII Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
RVC and TPU cooperation roadmap until 2020 implies to include the course "Innovation economy and technological entrepreneurship" developed by RVC in the TPU educational program. Course task is to train students in development process in respect to high technology products or services, creation of their own start-ups and implementation of the commercial result of the research, development and design works.
The partners also plan to open joint master's programs, scientific research based on eight engineering and research TPU schools, creation on joint scientific cross-disciplinary laboratories (for example, equipped with medical research and computer devices for developments in the field of artificial intelligence), development of venture financing in innovation university developments.
A separate cooperation direction will be creation of a professional orientation program for scholars according to "Atlas of future professions". The scholars will know such professions as IT-medical worker, genetic consultant, smart home architect, remote security coordinator, aircrafts design engineer and others.
RVC JSC is a State fund of funds, one of the development institutions in the Russian Federation. The main objectives of RVC: stimulate creation of Russia's own venture capital industry and execute functions of the Project Office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is held 2018 — 26 of May. Forum events are joined by the slogan "Creating economy of trust". TASS is the information partner and official photo-hosting agency at SPIEF. Besides, TASS is an operator of Presentation Zone at SPIEF with support of the EY consulting company and Foreign Investment Advisory Council.
