On Thursday at Saint-Petersburg International Economy Forum, Russian Venture Company (RVC) and the Government of Samara Region have entered into an agreement on realisation of the National Technology Initiative in the region territory, RVC press-service reports.
According to the press service, they plan to hold a number of all-Russia and international events in Samara Region: competitions and project sessions with attraction of the industrial and investment partners to region to support NTI projects.
Special attention will be paid to training of the personnel for NTI perspective markets. Under the agreement, training programs for highly qualified specialist for NTI companies, technological brokers and entrepreneurs will be developed and launched. For the purpose of the agreement, the Government of Samara Region will create a special project office.
It is also mentioned that RVC and the Government of Samara Region are also intended to continue cooperation related to development of regional venture investment market, innovation ecosystem, stimulate entrepreneurship in technological field.
In order to attract investors, RVC will assist in forming of the new venture market instruments, will support activity of the venture funds and business-angels community. Acceleration programs will be arranged to develop start-up community in Samara Region.
RVC is a governmental fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation. NTI is a long term complex program that created conditions to ensure leadership of the Russian companies on new high technology markets in the nearest 15-20 years
