On April 13, within the framework of the Krasnoyarsk economic forum, Russian Venture Company and Government of Krasnoyarsk Region signed an agreement on development of the innovation activity on the region territory including implementation of the National Technology Initiative and the program Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
The document was signed by RVC CEO Aleksandr Povalko and interim chairman of the Government of the Rkasnoyarsk Region Viktor Tomchenko.
The agreement determines four key cooperation directions: development of the efficient innovation infrastructure, development of the perspective high technology markets and companies within NTI framework, improvement of the regional system of higher education and carrying out of the information company to form interest to the technological entrepreneurship among the young people.
The parties will support the events related to preparation and advanced training of the personnel in the field of innovation activity, contribute to development of innovation territorial clusters, improve technology transfer system and venture investment in the region as well as join effort to extend inter-regional and international relations in the field of innovation.
The agreement also implies development and approval of the joint roadmap by the region Government and RVC to implement NTI and the program "Digital economy of the Russian Federation" in Krasnoyarsk Region.
The key projects in the roadmap may become those projects that are currently announced in the priority program "Improvement of the global competitive ability of the territorial and production cluster of Krasnoyarsk region ": Technopolis "Yenisey" and are implemented for the following directions NTI: Aeronet, Energynet and Healthnet. These projects consider creation of the "Live laboratory" infrastructure in order to test such future technologies as unmanned aviation systems in search for and rescue of people, implementation of the distributes and autonomous energy systems in the cities, as well as new approaches in medicine aimed at increase of performance in the medical establishments and detection of diseases on early stages.
According to the Chairman of the Government of the region Viktor Tomchenko, many-years partnership with RVC helps to create conditions to support innovation activity in the region.
RVC is a governmental fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation. The main objectives of RVC: stimulate creation of Russia's own venture capital industry and execute functions of the Project Office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion roubles. One hundred per cent of RVC capital belongs to the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for Management of State Property of the Russian Federation (Federal Property Management Agency). The total number of funds formed by RVC has reached 26; their total size is 35.5 billion rubles. The share of RVC is 22.6 billion rubles. The number of innovative companies approved for investment by RVC funds has reached 218. The total amount of monetary funds approved for investment is 17.9 billion rubles.
