Gazprom Neft is looking for innovations in GenerationS start-up accelerator

Gazprom Neft became a partner of the Power&Energy track running at GenerationS start-up accelerator by RVC.

Cooperation is aimed at search for innovation solutions to create a unified platform for company logistics, processing and sale.

It was announced on April 9, 2018.

GenerationS accelerator is held by RVC from 2013.

In 2018, Gazprom Neft became the partner of Power&Energy track engaging the start-up teams in the field of energy and oil and gas industry.

In 2017, 511 applications from the technology entrepreneurs was received by the Power&Energy track.

Following distance selection, 18 projects from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Veliky Novgorod, Astrakhan, Tyumen, Voronezh, Samara, Khanty-Mansiysk and Brest were invited to the accelerator’s program.

"Interest of Gazprom Neft in establishing system work with the open innovations will become a powerful driver for development of the technological entrepreneurship in the fuel and energy sector. GenerationS accelerator participants will be able to represent their developments directly to the customers and will get an opportunity to adjust them for integration in the IT systems of one of the leaders in the field of oil production and refining", Head of GenerationS accelerator E. Petrova comments.

Based on the results of accelerator, the best projects will get an opportunity to beta-test their innovation developments at the Digital Innovation Center (DIC) at Gazprom Neft.

The Center is designed to create the most advanced and breakthrough new generation digital products (platform-based IT solutions).

The most important part of this process will be the development of innovations in predictive control, digital twins, industrial Internet of Things, modern data transmission lines, self-learning artificial intelligence systems, etc.

In search of the bets technologies DIC plans tight interaction with all participants of the innovation ecosystem and cooperation with RVC — the first step to work with the open innovation.

GenerationS accelerator participants come with the ready-made business ideas, coordinated teams, comprehension of the competitor, partner and customer markets. This allows all of us to pass a very long way in a short term which permits the company to obtain the necessary product with predictable quality and functionality, and the start-up gets additional support for its solution, expertise opinion of our specialists and pilot venues for beta-testing and approbation of their products", V. Ural Federal University (UrFU, Yekateringurg) is an infrastructure partner of the accelerator.
