RVC academic department at MFTU launches a new master program

Russian Venture Company together with MFTU laboratory of neural systems and deep learning and MFTU-Sberbank laboratory launch a new master program related to project management in the field of artificial intelligence. Admission will start in May 2018.

Educational plan of the master program includes business courses of the basic RVC academic department "Technological projects management" in the field of economy and management, as the courses of the leading industry-specific academic departments of FAMI and laboratory of neural systems and deep learning.

Graduates from the technical bachelor faculties that have experience in the field of programming, product idea or ready business project that can be implemented using iPavlov technology, an open platform for development of the speaking artificial intelligence and technologies of MFTU-Sberbank. During the educational term, the students will be able to create their own start-ups — develop a product and prepare it for commercialization under the leadership of academic advisors.

Head of the Department, RVC CEO Aleksandr Povalko commented new program opportunities:

"Development of the competences in the field of technological entrepreneurship implies project-based approach to education. This model in implemented in a new master program managed by RVC academic department. Students are not just studying separate courses, but together with the business partners create their own ambitious project that have all chances to become a successful technological start-up. We expect that this educational program will be a new standard used to prepare the specialists for NTI markets".

This program will serve as a perfect example of FAMI development strategy that first of all implies dynamic combination of competences earned by academic departments, latest requirements coming from the industrial partners and creativity of the School laboratories functioning at MFTU campus", Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, director of the Phystech school of applied mathematics and information science of MFTU Andrey Raigorodsky told.

iPavlov project is developed by the Laboratory of neural systems and deep learning at MFTU together with RVC represented by the Fund for support of NTI projects and Sberbank. Solutions created based on this platform will be used in dialog systems — frequencies and personal assistants.

RVC is a governmental fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation. Main RVC purpose is to stimulate creation of Russia's own venture capital industry and execute functions of the Project Office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
