The DemoDay held by FinTech track of GenerationS start-up accelerator by RVC has finished in Moscow. Jury members including representatives of banks and venture funds have selected 5 best start-ups in the field of financial technologies that will participate in GenerationS finals and will fight for the prize fund of 16 million roubles.

The winner is a team with MandarinBank project — payment service designed to purchase services using online-deferred payments under beneficial conditions and maximum possible approval level.

The second place was awarded to 7Seconds project, a service that ensures instant credits and instalment plans in online and off-line shops.

The third place was awarded to a team from Ukraine with Robin project. It developed a system of biometric speech identification with high accuracy of user verification.

Jury also noted DataFabric project, a system designed to check contractors based on the individual requirements of the customer that makes it possible to create smart information systems and automated Fincase service which is a scoring value analysis system that helps determine market value of the goods, services and transactions.

"I expected to see mostly early-stage projects, i.e. seed and pre-seed projects, but it turned out that almost every one of them earns money! The current list of projects has been a pleasant surprise for me: usually a demo day singles out only 1-2 projects out of 10, but here I have seen as many as 5 promising teams. We will stay in touch with some projects in order to consider making investments", Konstantin Gnyp, fund Runa Capital, commented.

The face-to-face accelerator of the FinTech track featured 20 projects in the field of financial technologies, services and e-commerce from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Yekaterinburg as well as from Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan. During the competition, the participants worked jointly with experts and track supervisors on new business models, conducted comparison competitive studies and worked out financial project plans. At the presentation session, the representatives of the following banks evaluated the start-ups: "Otrkytie", Raiffeisen, VTB, investment companies, iTech Capital and Da Vinci Capital, Target Global venture company, KPMG consulting company, Samara Area Venture Fund and Runa Capital.
