As of today, January 15, the global research platform Dimensions has become available in the territory of Russia and the CIS, containing 86 million articles and books and 124 million documents: patents, information on grants and industry standards, according to the press release, received by the editor of Indicator.Ru,
The Dimensions project is launched by Digital Science in collaboration with experts from more than a hundred universities and research centres all around the world. The platform makes it possible to search for free millions of scientific articles, books, grant descriptions, patents and standards as well as citations and metrics. The documents are interconnected through 3.8 billion links.
The Russian partners of the project have been the Russian Science Foundation, the Innovation Support Fund, the Russian Venture Company (RVC), the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology, and several universities, including the Russian Academy of Science and Technology, ITMO University, UrFU, MIPT and FEFU.
Most of the platform materials can be accessed for free, some of the functions (analytics and additional data sets) are provided for a fee.
