MOSCOW, 20 January /TASS/. The Russian Venture Company (RVC) on behalf of the NTI Project Support Fund and Sberbank has financed a project to create an open platform to develop conversational artificial intelligence for use in interactive systems — chat-bots and personal assistants. The project is being implemented by the Laboratory of Neural Systems and In-depth training at MIPT. This is what RVC CEO, Alexander Povalko, said in an interview with TASS at the Gaidar forum.

"The goal of this project is to create a technology platform with which it will be possible to solve the issues of creating, programming, or rather, adaptation of these solutions to the conversational AI. It is going to be an open platform incorporating both Sberbank and TASS call-centre”, he said.

The project will be named iPavlov. According to Povalko, investments by RVC and Sberbank are estimated to be 300 million roubles.

The CEO of the RVC believes that the project's first results may be demonstrated already this year.
