The Russian-Belarusian venture investment fund will finance four projects, announced the press service of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus on Friday after the first meeting of the Fund's investment committee in Moscow.
They clarified that the investment is planned to sustain the developments in the field of public health, IT technology-based medicine.
The press service reminded that RVC, RVC Infrafund and the Belarusian Innovation Fund in December 2016 announced the creation of a joint Russian-Belarusian Venture Investment Fund. The target size of the fund is 1.4 billion of Russian rubles which can be further increased by the decision of investors. The Investment Committee of the Russian-Belarusian Venture Investment Fund is represented by Dmitry Kalinin, the director of the Belarusian Innovation Fund, from the Belarusian side and Evgeny Kuznetsov, Director of RVC Infrafund, from Russian side. The Supervisory Board of the Fund consists of the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus, Alexander Shumilin and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Oleg Fomichev.
