Prime-minister Dmitry Mededev signed five ordinances to approve roadmaps related to implementation of the National Technology Initiative (NIT) directions — Technet, Autonet, Marinet, Neuronet, and Aeronet. The documents contain detailed plan of the events to fulfil these roadmaps.
The Educational Center Sirius in Sochi summed up the results of the National Engineering Olympiad of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). As a result of the final tests, the 11 best teams and 18 winners in the individual classification were defined. The main prize is 100 USE points in core subjects upon admission to the leading Russian universities.

The winner of the competition for the creation of an unmanned vehicle for winter roads of Russia will receive up to 200 million roubles, the results of the competition will be announced at the end of 2018, said Alexander Povalko, CEO and Chairman of the Board of RVC, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The Contest's Commission of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science has designated six competence centers for the National Technological Initiative (NTI), which will be based at universities and scientific organizations in Moscow, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and Vladivostok.
Following the results of the second stage of the NTI’s Olympiad, 578 schoolchildren have entered the finals. They include specialists in 15 fields and children who won honourable prizes at the last year's NTI Olympiad and open engineering competitions.
