Russian Venture Company (RVC), together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Skolkovo Foundation, is organizing a competition of technological projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) to develop technologies for in-depth analysis of texts that allow identifying semantic and logical inconsistencies. The press service of the company informed about it on Monday.
The ability of the decisions created by the contestants to analyse a human speech will be tested on the example of texts in which it will be necessary to identify a number of semantic and logical errors, as well as insufficiently reasoned or inappropriate statements.
The competition will last until the end of 2022. Organizers will evaluate technological solutions in two languages — Russian and English. Each of them has a separate direction and a different prize — 100 million roubles.
According to experts, in 2018, the international market for speech and text processing technologies (natural language) was estimated at $8 billion. By 2025, it will grow to $40 billion. The main participants in this market are the largest technological giants: Google, Amazon, Facebook, and others. In Russia, the leading developers of such solutions are Yandex, ABBYY, Sberbank, Tinkoff, MIPT (iPavlov project), etc.
