The Special Representative of the President for Digital and Technological Development, Dmitry Peskov, pointed out that this applies to exams in chemistry.

The opportunity of passing exams in chemistry using the technology of augmented reality (AR) may appear in Russian schools, now experts are developing technological solutions in this area. The special representative of the President of the Russian Federation on digital and technological development Dmitriy Peskov informed the journalists in Perm at the coordination council for the development of the digital economy.

“A competence center of the national technology initiative on augmented reality is deployed on Russky Island, it is actively operating <...> I think schoolchildren from the whole country will see some of these results in the coming years. For example, they are developing a number of technological solutions for passing exams in chemistry, which will be held in augmented reality. This center effectively develops them”, — he said.

Earlier it was reported that in order to ensure the creation of a modern digital educational environment it is planned to use modern technologies in the implementation of basic educational programs, including virtual and augmented reality technologies. They will be included in the learning process in 25% of schools in 75 regions of Russia by the end of 2024, this is stated in the passport of the “Education” national project.

Competence centers of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) are divisions that are created on the basis of educational or scientific organizations and are engaged in the development of the so-called end-to-end NTI technologies. These technologies include large data, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, new and portable energy sources, wireless technologies, virtual and augmented reality technologies.

The centers conduct research and educational activities in a consortium with leading technology companies. The project operator of the NTI Competence Centers is the Russian Venture Company (RVC).
