A chain of schools for unmanned caravan operators and cybersportsmen will open in Russia in 2020, the Press Service of the Working Group of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Avtonet told RIA Novosti.
In December, Avtonet told RIA Novosti that in the coming years, unmanned caravans will appear in Russia that will carry goods along the routes. The technology of system work of automated vehicles is already being tested in the agricultural sphere, this equipment can simultaneously cover vast areas. Similar technology will be used in the transportation of commercial cargo by unmanned caravans. A new specialty will appear for this purpose — caravan driving operators.
Avtonet’s “Race Base” project involves training of caravan operators using special virtual simulators for controlling automated vehicles and sports cars. The program provides separate courses for professional racers (including those engaged in e-sports).
The sports and simulation center will include a vehicle simulator zone (a complex for auto-athletes and e-athletes), a room for watching live broadcasts of all Russian and foreign auto and e-sports events, a digital cockpit (racing information support), a shop with official merchandise of racing series and teams. It is planned that 264 vehicle simulators in 12 centers will be available to the Race Base Center students in 2020.
