The universities will house the first competence centers of the National Technological Initiative
The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has reported on the results of the competition to create competence centers for "end-to-end technologies" of the National Technological Initiative.
The grants will be given to the NTI сenter of artificial intelligence, located at MIPT, the center of quantum technologies located at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the competence center of new and mobile energy technologies, located at the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the NTI Center "New Production Technologies" located at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the technology center for managing the properties of biological objects, located at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the NTI Center of Neuro-technology, Virtual and Augmented Reality located at FEFU.
"The winners are challenged to become integrators of research and development solutions, create whole groups of "end-to-end " technologies, which are necessary for developing export-oriented companies, while interacting with lots of other science and education organization,", the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia explained.- In establishing communication links with business they are to become a sustainable and profitable technology transfer center, able to receive income and reinvest it into new developments. In establishing partnerships and educational consortia they are to become a hub for developing new research engineering and business competencies in the field of high technology. "
Next year the Ministry intends to continue its steps towards the integrated system of scientific and technological developments: they plan to organize a new competition on "end-to-end technologies", which have not yet been decided upon this year.
