On April 13, within the framework of the Krasnoyarsk economic forum, Russian Venture Company and Government of Krasnoyarsk Region signed an agreement on development of the innovation activity on the region territory including implementation of the National Technology Initiative and the program Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
Prime-minister Dmitry Mededev signed five ordinances to approve roadmaps related to implementation of the National Technology Initiative (NIT) directions — Technet, Autonet, Marinet, Neuronet, and Aeronet. The documents contain detailed plan of the events to fulfil these roadmaps.
On April 5, final of the Dual Technologies track running at GenerationS accelerator by RVC was held. "RVC Infrafund" and the track partners Voentelecom JSC, Roselectronica JSC and Aviation complex named after S.V. Ilushin PJSC selected 5 bet solutions out of 22 projects; these projects are applicable on both civil and military markets.
On April 27, the final of the largest in Russia and Eastern Europe start-up accelerator GenerationS by RVC will be held in Moscow. It is held five years in raw. The biggest Russian and international companies participate in the program as partners. With their assistance, the accelerator selects the best start-ups in the key economy industries.
Russian Venture Company together with MFTU laboratory of neural systems and deep learning and MFTU-Sberbank laboratory launch a new master program related to project management in the field of artificial intelligence. Admission will start in May 2018.
The DemoDay held by FinTech track of GenerationS start-up accelerator by RVC has finished in Moscow. Jury members including representatives of banks and venture funds have selected 5 best start-ups in the field of financial technologies that will participate in GenerationS finals and will fight for the prize fund of 16 million roubles.

Microsoft Corporation will participate in the selection of projects in the FinTech track and the media direction of the Creative track of the Federal GenerationS Start-up Accelerator, organized by RVC. The best projects will be able to get into the program of individual work with Microsoft start-ups, they will receive consulting support from Microsoft technology and business experts, as well as access to Microsoft Azure cloud services.
The Demo Day of TechNet track of the start-up accelerator GenerationS by RVC took place in St. Petersburg. The winners shared the prize fund of 1 million roubles and received an invitation to the final of GenerationS-2017.
Schoolchildren from all over the country gathered in the final of the Olympiad of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) to reflect on the most pressing engineering challenges: they moved loads without human intervention, invented intelligent energy, created neuroprosthetics, sought a cure for cancer, grew a happy trout, designed underwater robots and launched satellites. The slogan of the NTI Olympiad is "We are from the future". Apparently, the XXI century promises to be an era of engineers.
The Educational Center Sirius in Sochi summed up the results of the National Engineering Olympiad of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). As a result of the final tests, the 11 best teams and 18 winners in the individual classification were defined. The main prize is 100 USE points in core subjects upon admission to the leading Russian universities.
The co-director of the working group of the NTI “Autonet” Alexander Gurko told RT what problems related to the introduction in Russia of technology to operate cars without drivers one has to face and how this problems are planned to be solved.
In the next three years, a system of certificates for teaching the population the competencies of the digital economy will begin to work in Russia. Citizens of the Russian Federation will have an opportunity to form individual trajectories of development based on personal profiles of competences. This is stated in the action plan for the direction "Personnel and Education" of the program "Digital Economy", published on February 21, 2018 on the website of the government.
