Started to function in January 2015, functions as an investment partnership managed by Da Vinci Capital MP LLC. The fund's investment committee includes the representatives of RVC, independent professional market participants and participants of the managing partner. The fund was established for the purposes of investments in Russian high tech companies having international development potential. The fund focuses on investments into financial infrastructure technologies (stock exchanges and trading platforms, online brokers and payment systems), information technologies (IT services, Software developers, SAAS2, services, transaction services).
The fund amounts to nearly RUB 5 bln (RVC's share of this fund amounts to RUB 1.5 bln) . The investment period covers three and a half years. It is allowed to increase the Fund's capital before the expiry of the investment period. The fund's investors are RVC and large international institutional investors (EBRD, Adam Street Partners, Alpha Associates, HarbourVest) via the international fund Da Vinci PE Fund II L.P. The funds are invested under a co-investment principle, where the share of international investors amounts to at least 60%.
The Fund's Strategy
It stipulates the creation of a specialized financial tool, which permits equity market launch for Russian technological companies at mature development stages – conducting IPO into Russian (sector of Innovation and Investment Market of the Moscow Stock Exchange) and foreign platforms, which conforms to one of the priority directions of RVC activity – creating specialized financial tools for market development.
