GenerationS — the major start-up accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, the federal corporate platform to develop acceleration tools. The main function of GenerationS is to work on the acceleration of projects in the interests of corporate investors. In this way, GenerationS solves the problems of the targeted attraction of projects and technologies for industrial partners and the development of corporate competencies for working with projects in the ideology of "open innovation".
GenerationS actively attracts to the accelerator all representatives of the innovation sector, both federal and regional, state corporations, representatives of large and medium private businesses, technology entrepreneurs, development institutions, venture funds, business angels, scientific and educational organizations, technology parks, and business incubators.
Currently, the project has accumulated its own ecosystem of corporations, experts, mentors, technology brokers, and other market participants. Today, the partner network of GenerationS includes more than 250 government organizations and commercial companies.
As a result of the multi-stage examination, the GenerationS participants receive ample opportunities for business development and investment promotion as well as access to resources and infrastructure of accelerator partners.
In 2017 alone, 3,470 applications from 13 countries were submitted to participate in GenerationS. The prize fund of the GenerationS finals in 2018 will be 16 million rubles.
In 2018, specialized corporate accelerators will be created on the GenerationS platform aimed at attracting innovations to the largest Russian and foreign technology companies.
GenerationS has been implementing the format of corporate accelerators since 2015, but earlier corporations have become partners with one of the industry tracks. Start-ups within one track could select several partners at once. With the expert support of GenerationS, corporations will be able to form individual selection criteria, develop their own program of project development and approaches to their possible integration into business and technological chains, and after the acceleration, they will receive exclusive opportunities for cooperation with the best projects. In the process of implementing the accelerator with start-ups, leading experts in various fields will work — marketing, sales, finance, patent support, and others.
