RVC and the Venture Committee of the All-China Association for the Financial Promotion of Science and Technology concluded a cooperation agreement aimed at developing venture and technology markets in the two countries.
The document was signed by the Deputy Director General of the RVC Mikhail Fedotov and the Chairman of the Venture Committee of the All-China Association for the Financial Promotion of Science and Technology (Committee) Xu Xiaoping within the Second China-Russia Forum “Investments in Innovation”, which took place on June 16-17 in Harbin.
In the context of cooperation, the parties will unite efforts to attract Chinese and Russian investors into implementing joint innovative venture projects in Russia and China, as well as to promote the products of innovative and industrial enterprises in the Russian and Chinese markets. The agreement provides, in particular, expert assessment, certification, marketing and exhibiting of innovative technologies and projects.
RVC and the Committee will also facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies aimed at modernizing production facilities and introducing new technological solutions.
The agreement pays much attention to building and expanding business ties, in particular, holding regular meetings of representatives of the Russian and Chinese technological businesses.
A Russian-Chinese working group will be established under the partnership. Its main tasks will be joint preparation and implementation of programs and projects, as well as monitoring and analysis of cooperation activities.
The Venture Committee of the All-China Association for the Financial Promotion of Science and Technology is the key platform for organizing national and international events to exchange experience in venture capital investment in China. In addition, the Committee conducts research of the venture industry and provides analytical materials and recommendations to the federal structures of China.
The first Russian-Chinese forum “Investments in Innovations” was held last year in Moscow with the support of RVC. In 2015, RVC and the Venture Committee of the All-China Association for the Financial Promotion of Science and Technology concluded an agreement on cooperation at the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. In 2014, China acted as a partner of the International Forum “Open Innovations”, which was held in Moscow, in plenary sessions of the Forum, together with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang. In the same year, the RVC delegation together with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Education and Science, the Skolkovo Foundation and members of the Russian academic and business community took part in the Russian week in China, which featured the Sino-Russian conference “Innovations is the key to cooperation” and the VII International Innovative Forum “Pujiang”.
